Hercules first meets this eternally optimistic entrepreneur when Salmoneus tries to sell him a toga. From then on, it seems as though Salmoneus' desire for dinars gets him into one get-rich-quick scheme after another. Fortunately, someone is always there to bail him out. There are rare occasions when the roles are reversed but more often than not, Salmoneus must make restitution for his actions. He tends to be attracted to women who do not reciprocate. To be fair, he is credited with developing the Happy Hour and naming the Olympic Games.
